Father’s Day Barbecue Lunch – Menu for 6

Barbecued beef with pepper crust (or herb crust) and Homemade BBQ sauce, Grilled pumpkin with paprika and balsamic baby onions. Old fashioned potato salad with a green bean and lentil salad. Chocolate sticky date pudding with butterscotch sauce and vanilla ice cream.

Preparation 1 day before:

  • Make sticky date pudding. Store, covered, at room temperature. 
  • Make barbecue sauce. Cover and refrigerate.

3 hours before guests arrive:

  • Cut pumpkin into wedges. 
  • Make bean salad. Cover and refrigerate. 

1 hour before guests arrive:

  • Make potato salad. Cover and refrigerate. 
  • Make barbecued beef.

30 minutes before guests arrive:

Prepare baby onions up to end of step 1.

  • Complete baby onions and pumpkin. 
  • Make butterscotch sauce.
