Organic ExfoliationHave you ever ran out of your favorite facial cleaner but couldn’t immediately make it out to pick some more up? There’s a fairly good chance that you have organic food products already stocked in your home that will do a great job of pulling second duty as a facial cleanser.

When you’re in a pinch and you feel like your face could use a good pick me up, check to see if you have a fresh lemon sitting around. The juice of a lemon is acidic which may sound harmful at first, but fruits that contain natural acids work great on those who have oily skin. Better yet, there are no harsh chemicals that were concocted in a factory; just all natural lemon juice that will leave your face feeling refreshed and leave behind a fresh citrus scent.

Another great option if you want to try a natural and organic facial cleanser is to use a common breakfast food – egg whites! The key to using egg whites as a facial cleanser is to make sure that they are mixed up quite well so that you can avoid a big mess of trying to put it on your face. You can also add other ingredients such as lemon juice and organic milk. Once you have your mixture done, simply apply it to your face and leave it on for ten to fifteen minutes before rinsing with warm water.

Looking for a dose of moisture either alone or after using one of the organic facial cleaning methods listed above? Again, you can easily apply moisture to your skin using organic products that you may already have in your home. One of the easiest methods is to mix a little organic milk and honey together and apply it to your face. Two important things to remember: Not all milk and honey is organic so make sure you are using organic products and also remember to warm the honey slightly to make it easier to mix in with the milk. You won’t need a large amount of milk or honey and while you are applying moisture, it’s not meant to stay on the skin. Apply it with a damp cloth and then rinse with water, pat dry and done!

Next time you’re without your facial cleanser, it’s easy to go natural and organic with products that you probably already have in your home.
