Cleaning ProductsIf you’ve already made the switch to organic cleaning products or you’re considering it, you may be wondering what the benefits are. There has been a large movement over the last few years trying to get people to switch from chemically based cleaning products to organic ones as part of the “green” initiative, and with good reason. Check out 4 benefits of organic cleaning products below:

  1. Chemically based cleaning products are dangerous to use. If you look at a chemically based cleaning product, most of them come with warning after warning printed on the product or the product label. Warnings range from telling consumers to wear gloves to seeking medical attention if the product is ingested or gets in a person’s eyes and those are just a couple. Organic cleaning products are safer to use. While this doesn’t mean that a person should be ingesting them, they are less harmful to the air quality, skin and a person’s overall health.
  2. Organic cleaning products are not as harmful to the environment. When disposed of, chemically based cleaning products can be fatal to wildlife and plants. In addition, when chemical based cleaners are used, they can add to global warming.
  3. Organic based cleaning products leave behind natural scents instead of chemical based scents which can damage nasal passages and affect a person’s breathing.
  4. Organic cleaning products are also safer for pets. Pets are curious and they have no problem getting into areas of the home that they shouldn’t go in even when precautions are taken. If a pet ingests chemical based cleaning products, it can easily cause death or at the very least extreme illness.

There are several organic and natural products that can be used as cleaning agents such as vinegar and lemon juice. On top of being safer, organic cleaning products can also be cheaper if you decide to make your own.
